Big Data of Tour in Spring Festival Coming Out
In recent years, in order to meet the actual demand in the innovation and upgrade of local tourist industry, Wuxi, in compliance with the Smart City Data Standard System, establishes a platform for tourist information acquisition and analysis and data fusion which meets the standard of the national all-for-one tourism criteria, so as to offer better services to the local tourist industry.
“In the past Golden Week of the Spring Festival, tourists coming into the city totals 910700, of which 30% came by train, 10% by air, and the rest 60% by car.” officers in Wuxi Tourist Administration said, “on the platform, tourist information about the total quantity, composition and transportation preference is clearly shown, which can be used to guide the Tourist Administration’s work.”
The platform is the Multi-dimensinal Data Fusion Platform established by Wuxi Mobile, which collects tour information about local tourists and those who visit Wuxi, tourist feedback, places where visitors come from and their preference. With Jiangsu Provincial Tourist Information Analysis System jointly employed, the collection and analysis of duration in Wuxi, transportation, accommodation, tourist gathering places at night are improved to offer information support to the Tourist Administration’s daily work. It is said that the pre-arrangement of on-duty staff at the spots of potential congestion has been made according to the experience, however, the reality might had some difference from what was expected, while real-time data of each spot can be acquired at present. For example, now tourists total 2426 on Lingshan scenic spot, which shows that the scenic spot is not crowded and tourists are comfortable.
With the data advantages and base stations resources of Wuxi Mobile, 30 4A and 5A scenic spots, 12 village tour zones and 6 business districts are on the platform. So far it has offered over 600,000 data message which provides effective support for local citizens, visitors and precision marketing. Go E, the project manager of Wuxi Mobile, said, “besides the platform, Wuxi Mobile is preparing Wuxi Smart All-for-one Tour Project. It is of 5 dimensions including industry supervision, tourist services, comprehensive marketing, Big Data and interactive experience. More information acquisition will promote the orderly and healthy development of local cultural tourism.”
In the future, Wuxi Mobile, attaching great importance to the Big Data with serving tourists and enterprises centered, will establish the data processing center, management platform and marketing platform of Wuxi Smart Tour, by which modern information technologies including IOT, Internet, Big Data and Cloud Computing are widely used in each field of Wuxi tourist industry, so as to enhance the local tourist services, management and marketing, and build the big pattern of Wuxi Smart Tour.
